Steel Grating Types

By Manufacturing Method:

• Welded Steel Grating– Most common type, bearing bars and cross bars are welded together.
• Press-locked Steel Grating– Cross bars are locked into bearing bars under pressure without welding.
• Swage-locked Steel Grating– Cross bars are inserted into pre-punched holes in the bearing bars and then swaged (deformed) to lock them in place.
• Riveted Steel Grating– Bearing bars are joined by rivets, providing extra strength and durability.
